In 1975, Carlton Fisk hit one of the most famous home runs of all time to win Game 6 of the World Series. The Sox would go on to lost the series in Game 7 to the Cincinnati Reds.
In 1986, Roger Clemons struck out twenty batters to defeat the Seattle Mariners.
In Game 2 of the 2004 World Series, starting pitcher Curt Schilling, pitching with a torn tendon in his ankle, recorded the win, despite blood seeping through his now famous sock.
