The Milan Miracle -- 1954 State Championship won by tiny Milan over Muncie Central
In Oscar Robertson's sophomore year, his Crispus Attucks team lost to eventual 1954 state champion Milan in the semi-state finals. In 1955 they became the first all-black school in the United States to win a state championship. Led By Roberston's 39 poin
Coaching legend John Wooden, who won 10 NCAA championship, never won the Indiana State Championhip in nine years as the head coach at South Bend Central High (although he did win the 1927 championship as a player at Martinsville.
In the 1990 Finals, a national high school basketball record crowd of 40,000 witnessed Damon Baiey lead Bedford-North Lawrence to the championship.
The 2010 Finals were carried live by over 50 cable TV stations and 0ver 60 radio stations throughout the state of Indiana.
