In a valley between the Appalachian foothills and the West Branch of the Susquehanna River sits Williamsport, Pennsylvania, the home of one of America’s rites of passage, Little League World Series, where the world’s best little league teams come to prove their meddle at the ripe young age of 11 to 13.

- In 1975, Little League Baseball banned all non-US teams from the World Series. After considerable criticism, the ban was rescinded the following year
